Human lymphatic system comprises of lymph vessels, which carry lymph that is a fluid, rich in protein content. The lymph nodes and lymph vessels those are responsible for filtering out the toxins and germs carry it. There are 100 plus lymph nodes in a human body and most of these are positioned in the armpits, groin and neck. Lymph vessels have valves, which avoid the lymph fluid from flowing in the backward direction in the system.
When the time comes at which the lymph movement through the victim’s body turns damaged, it is going to leak out from the lymph capillaries and cause the neighboring tissues to enlarge or swell. This state or condition is termed as lymph edema. Thus “lymph edema” starts when the quantity of lymph in the person’s body goes beyond the ability of the body to carry it. This makes the tissues to attain a swelling in particular in the arms as well as in the legs.
There are two major kinds of lymph edema. Modern doctors are still not so sure about the types of lymph edema, so there is no question in concern to the availability of lymphedema products in the market.
